See some incredible sights when you embark on one of the cave tours available for the Lewis and Clark Caverns, anytime from May to September. The caverns are a short distance, only west nineteen miles on Highway 2 coming from Three Forks, within the Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park. You can come all year around and stop by the visitor's center if you are there in the summer. See displays and enjoy some of the evening programs. .

On the average, about 600 people a day visit the caverns, and about one half of them are from Montana. If you are traveling through the state on your getaway trip, it's a stop you can't miss.

You'll love the camping in the area. You will find the amenities you need, with a total of 40 campsites, 20 of those are tent sites. You'll have fire rings, grills, showers and flush toilets in the grounds. Bring a large group, as there is also a group campsite. If you prefer not to rough it, you can rent a tipi or a cabin.

Outdoor recreation is the best here. After visiting the caverns, you can take off hiking along four miles of trails. If you love golf, there's a golf course close by. The kids would love a traditional picnic, or the museums in Three Forks and White Hall. Mountain biking is exciting here in the state park as well.

Bringing your fishing gear? Don't forget it, as fishing in the rivers is a real treat. The forest surrounds you, the rush of the water fills your ears and the sun relaxes you. A place of peace and harmony – Lewis and Clark Caverns is the perfect vacation destination.
