The West Yellowstone Rod Run thrills folks from all over, as between five and seven hundred street rods fill the streets and a festival atmosphere takes over the town.

Now in its 40th year, the Yellowstone Rod Run annually draws five to seven hundred street rods from all over the United States. Cruises and various competitions are available to registrants. Saturday's Parade of Rods on Canyon Street is an event highlight. The Show & Shine in City Park, where a festival atmosphere prevails, is also on Saturday and is open and free to the public.

Overview: The popular West Yellowstone Car Show in August leads to much fun and enthusiasm from rod lovers all over the region. Lots of cruisin’ and frolicking as well as a great parade!

When: The West Yellowstone Rod Run is typically held in August each year.

Where: The headquarters for the Yellowstone Rod Run are at the West Yellowstone Conference Hotel / Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort with the parade taking place on Canyon Street. The Show and Shine event is held at City Park.

Fees: Attendance to the event is free. Registrations for competitions have varying prices.

Details: Hundreds of street rods from all over the U.S. show up at the West Yellowstone Rod Run, with cruises happening with regularity and various competitions held. The highlight of the weekend event is the Parade of Rods on Saturday, lining Canyon Street.

The Show and Shine is a favorite of attendees, wandering around City Park and marveling at the detail on some of these rods. See Woodys, delivery vans and fancy cars with even fancier hood ornaments.

Other things to look forward to at the Rod Run are a barbeque dinner, ice cream social, plenty of live entertainment and raffles.
