Only a short distance from other vacation destinations in Montana and national parks and forests, West Yellowstone is a great place to make your home base. When to Rent
Anytime is the perfect time to rent in West Yellowstone. Summer is the season to tour the national parks, fish, go boating or hike the hundreds of miles of trails. Winter offers snowmobiling, with snowmobiles even being allowed to traverse the streets of the town. But perhaps the best time to rent is at the end of September when the tourists head home.
Average Rental Rates
Rental prices vary greatly on vacation long-term rentals. You can find a small two-bedroom cabin sleeping six for around $1,200 to $1,600 a month. You can also get a condo with four bedrooms (but sleeping up to 10 people) or a luxurious 1-bedroom condo for $2,900 to $3,000 a month. Perhaps you have a large family or group who want to go to West Yellowstone for an extended vacation. If that is the case you’ll discover large homes for rent that have up to 5 or 6 bedrooms, sleeping 16, for $15,000 a month. Some are located in town and some located at remote locations near lakes or rivers. They all are a perfect way to spend vacation time in the Yellowstone area.
