The peaks climb to the great height of 9,308 feet, between Yellowstone National Park and Madison River Valley. Big Sky, Montana and Bozeman, Montana are to the northeast with easy access to lodging. The highest peak in the Madison Range is Hilgard Peak, reaching a fantastic 11,316 feet above sea level.
