When visiting Idaho State Parks, it’s good to become familiar with the park fees, so you are never surprised. Learn the cost of vehicle entry, camping fees, reservations and more.
- Daily vehicle entrance fee: $5
- Campsite fees: $9-24/night
- IISF stickers: $7 (non-motorized boats)/$22 (motorized boats)
Here you’ll find general fees for all Idaho State Parks, plus fees specific for Henry’s Lake and Harriman State Park, West Yellowstone’s closest Idaho State Parks.
Day Use Vehicle Fee
The Day Use Vehicle Fee is a $5 daily charge for all motorized vehicles, regardless of the number of people in the car. This fee is not charged in addition to camping fees.
Camping Fees
Camping fees include the right to use designated campgrounds and facilities. Utilities and facilities may be restricted by weather or other factors. Camping fees include the Day Use Vehicle Fee of $5. A second vehicle may be parked in the same campsite for an additional $5.
- Primitive Campsite (no amenities or defined camping area) – $9-$11/day
- Standard Campsite (defined tent/RV pad; may include table/grill) – $12-$24/day
Moorage
Moorage fees for boats are $5/night with a paid campsite or $8-$11/night without. Mooring a boat at a buoy is $5/night.
Idaho Invasive Species Fund
All boats in Idaho State Parks are required to contribute to the Idaho Invasive Species Fund (IISF) and display an IISF sticker. Boat registration in Idaho includes this fee (an IISF sticker is not required in addition to the Idaho validation sticker). For motorized boats registered outside of Idaho, IISF stickers are available for $22; non-motorized craft stickers are $6.
Annual State Park Passport
If you plan on making multiple visits to Idaho State Parks, the Annual State Park Passport ($35) allows unlimited visits to all Idaho State Parks without paying the Day Use Vehicle Fee. A pass for an additional family vehicle can be purchased for $5. The Annual State Park Passport doesn’t cover camping fees.
Fee Discounts
- Seniors (62 ) receive half-priced camping in some State Parks, Monday through Thursday.
- All day use vehicle and camping fees for Idaho Disabled Veterans are waived.
- Idaho residents with a Medicaid card or who sign a limited income form receive $4 off camping fees.
Henry’s Lake
Henry’s Lake State Park is a high-mountain destination spot for fisherman every year. 2010 fees are as follows.
- Day use pass – $5/day
- Campsite/E – $16-$20/day ($18-$22 between Memorial Weekend and Labor Day)
- Five-person cabins – $45/night
- All boats must have an invasive species sticker – $7 (non-motorized)/$22 (motorized) if registered outside Idaho
Harriman State Park
One of the best fly-fishing spots in America, Harriman State Park is also a refuge for wildlife native to the Great Yellowstone Ecosystem. 2010 fees are as follows.
- Day use pass – $5/day
- Winter use fee (applicable while snow grooming is being done) – $4/day ($35 season passes available)
- Six-person yurts – $45/night
- Four-bedroom Ranch House – $190/night (additional $12/person after fourth person)
- Three-bedroom Foreman’s House – $140/night (additional $12/person after fourth person)
- Ranch Dormitory (groups of 15-40) – $180/night (additional $12/person after 15th person)
- Bunkhouse (groups up to 9) – $150/night
- Laura Clarke Scovel Educational Center (5-10 cabins) – $100/night/cabin (five cabin rental minimum)
