Overview: No matter your age or skiing ability, at the Yellowstone Rendezvous Race you’ll find a race perfect for you. All six races offered run concurrently with many old-timers and newcomers joining in.
When: The Rendezvous Race is typically held in March each year. This year it takes place March 3rd, 2018.
Where: The race takes place on the Rendezvous Ski Trails, on the southern edge of the gateway to Yellowstone National Park, West Yellowstone.
Fees: Contact the ski club for fees. Discounts will be give to preregistration entrants until the end of February.
There is also a 2K and 5K kids’ race.
Details: West Yellowstone, Montana is the ideal location to join one of six different races offered in the Yellowstone Rendezvous Race each year. Anyone can participate, even the kids. Choose the race that suits your ability and age. The trails are groomed and the rolling terrain invites you to take part on the Rendezvous Ski Trails.
The Yellowstone Rendezvous Race has been an event that has attracted skiers to West Yellowstone for more than three decades. Many train hard for the race, and are happy when the cannon fires and signals the start.
Arrive before the race begins so you can test out the course, and of course, visit Yellowstone National Park. But the real test is the race itself, a famous long distance event and part of the American Ski Marathon Series. Real marathoners go for the 50-kilometer race, taking two laps around the perimeter of the Rendezvous Ski Trail system.
