The City of Island Park is a 33 mile long city, the longest main street we know of! It was incorporated in the 40's for licensing purposes and includes most of the businesses in the area. The city limits follow a 35-mile stretch of US 20, (the main highway to Yellowstone Park) with the town only 500 feet wide in some places. Friendly folks live all along it and in residential areas & ranches to the east and west. Rustic lodges with views of the river, lakes, & mountains offer warm, Western style hospitality. Visitors leave with a piece of Island Park in their hearts, & dreams of returning soon.
